Master cheese makers


Rosie the Cow sent us a cheese making kit.
Mrs Serci read the instructions to us. Easy!
 We needed to microwave 2 litres of full cream milk and a little bit of cheese culture.
 We counted down the time left on the microwave.
 We added some rennet. This helps to thicken up the milk.
 After 20 minutes the mixture had thickened up. We had turns 'slicing' the cheese mixture.
 Mrs Serci strained off the liquid and squeezed the mozzarella cheese during lunch time. This helped to make it into a cheese ball.
 The cheese ball had a nice salt bath for 20 minutes.
 Mrs Serci sprinkled our mozzarella cheese on some wrap bread and cooked it for us.
 We all tried a little bit of our cheese wrap.
It was so yummy, most of us had a BIG piece.
Mmm, mmmm!
